Do Not Bid Farewell—The 10th Memorial Concert of LI Tai-hsiang is an expression of the music master's lifelong dedication to music. Another significance lies in its integration with 'Dreamland and Love.' 'LI Tai-hsiang on Dreamland' is akin to Mahler's "Das Lied von der Erde," embracing gratitude for nurturing humanity and the arts. Despite battling illness for decades, he passed away peacefully in early 2014, facing the torment of Parkinson's disease and cancer. He remained resolute, never lightly abandoning his ideals, much like the additional meaning of 'On Dreamland' representing the concept of 'Musical Utopia' This concert, jointly planned by the National Centre for Traditional Arts Taiwan Music Institute and LI's family, will feature many of Maestro's moving classic songs performed by artists from different generations. Through the musical feast of composer's peak works from various periods, it will lead the audience back to romance while fondly remembering the eternal music master, LI Tai-hsiang. (Written by LIN Chien-chun, LI Tai-hsiang's daughter in law)
